Birth and Royal Life
Shiva Prakasham Ayya was born into a royal family in the Himalayan region.
As a ruler, he faithfully fulfilled the responsibilities entrusted to him. Yet, within him remained an indescribable longing that could not be explained. Though he did not know what he was seeking, an unseen force continually urged him to search beyond the life he knew.
While fulfilling his royal responsibilities, he remained devoted to this inner search. As the years passed, that silent longing grew stronger, eventually leading him beyond the boundaries of his kingdom in pursuit of a higher Truth.
The Divine Encounter at Kasi
His journey eventually brought him to the sacred city of Kasi (Varanasi), one of the most revered centres of spiritual wisdom.
It was there that Shiva Prakasham Ayya encountered a mysterious realised being. Neither the identity nor the lineage of this enlightened being was revealed to him.
Without introduction or explanation, the realised being bestowed a sacred mantra upon Shiva Prakasham Ayya and quietly departed.
Although he had received the sacred mantra, its deeper purpose had not yet been revealed. Carrying it within his heart, he continued his spiritual search, trusting that its true significance would unfold at the appointed time.
The Continuing Journey
Receiving the sacred mantra did not mark the end of Shiva Prakasham Ayya's search. Instead, it became the beginning of a deeper spiritual journey.
Holding the sacred mantra close to his heart, he travelled across many regions. Though he still did not fully understand what he was seeking, he continued his journey with unwavering determination, guided by the same inner longing that had accompanied him throughout his life.
His travels eventually brought him to Thiruvallari, near present-day Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu.
The Sacred Meeting at Thiruvallari
At Thiruvallari, Shiva Prakasham Ayya met another Siddhar who had attained a highly advanced state of Siddha realisation.
This meeting became the defining moment of his spiritual journey. Through this realised Siddhar, the deeper significance of the sacred mantra received at Kasi was finally revealed.
Through a profound Siddha process known within the Siddhar tradition, the consciousness of both realised Siddhars became one in the Supreme Self. Having transcended individual identity, they attained the highest state of spiritual realisation and consciously entered the path of Siddhi.
This sacred union remains one of the most profound moments in the spiritual journey of Siddhar Shiva Prakasham Ayya.
Jeeva Samadhi
Having attained the highest state of spiritual realisation, Siddhar Shiva Prakasham Ayya entered Jeeva Samadhi together with the Siddhar with whom he had become one in the Supreme Self.
Within the Siddha tradition, Jeeva Samadhi is revered as the supreme spiritual attainment, where a realised Siddhar consciously transcends ordinary physical existence while remaining eternally established in Divine Consciousness.
The Jeeva Samadhi of Siddhar Shiva Prakasham Ayya continues to be revered as a sacred place associated with his spiritual legacy and the culmination of his extraordinary journey.
